Mesa is located in a geographic area known as Plateau Valley on the North side of the Grand Mesa.
The community is surrounded by fruit orchards, vineyards and fluttering aspens as the Grand Mesa Scenic and Historic Byway climbs to over 10,000 feet.
Fishing, hiking, camping, and biking are only a few of the local outdoor activities. In winter, skiers and snowboarders can head to Powderhorn resort or one of the many cross-country or backcountry trails.
